Our Services

Little Dragons is a private nursery provision catering for children aged between 2 years old and 5 years old. Unfortunately, we cannot take on any children before their seconds birthday.

We run an afterschool club for St Georges School, called Big Dragons, this takes places weekdays 3:15pm until 6:00pm. We collect the children from the school hall before bringing them across to Little Dragons. If you are interested in signing your child up for a space, please fill out the form on this link Expression of Interest to be automatically added to our Wait List. Please understand that our afterschool club is usually full and spaces don’t become free often, however, staff will be in contact with you once one does.

Little Dragons are proud to share that we now offer a Food Bag service for our families who may be struggling, we share more details about this via our Famly app.

Once you have completed the form your child automatically joins our waiting list, once space arises, a member of our team will be in contact to secure your space. Being on our waiting list does not guarantee you a space at our setting.

Daily Routine

Here is an example of our Daily Routine, this is subject to change depending on the needs of the cohort or the business, however we do strive to keep our routine as consistent as possible.

Morning Session:

8.00-8.25 Breakfast and Free Play

9.15-10.00 Outdoor Play and Small Group Intervention Time (Time To Talk & Talk Boost)

10.15-10.35 Snack Time; The children sit in groups and are encouraged to self-serve their snack and drinks. Our snack menu can be seen here.

10.35-11.15 Nappies and Toileting/ Free Play alongside

11.10 The 5-minute Timer is set to let children know that the free play is ending and we will begin tidy up time

11.20 -11.35 Group/Story Time & Morning session collection

11.40-12.15 Lunch Time

Afternoon Session:

12.30 Afternoon Session intake and Free Play

12.35-1.15 Nappies and Toileting

1.30-2.15 Outdoor Play and Small Group Intervention Time (Time to Talk & Talk Boost)

Menu

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage nutrition guidance when planning our snack menus. Here is our current Autumn Term Snack Menu. Please note alternatives will be supplied for children with dietary requirements.

Famly App

At little Dragons we use the Famly App as the main form of communication between us and parents. Once you have a space secured for your child, you will receive a link to set up your log in. On this app you will get regular updates about your child, whether this is what they’ve eaten for snack, how long they’ve slept for, or a photo of them enjoying an activity, we strive to keep you in the loop as much as possible.
